Water quality in Grasmere improved with improvements to the sewage works (tho for years I only swam in tarns until anecdotal evidence suggested Grasmere was safe[r]). I've not [yet] had any problems but I'm careful not to swim after or in heavy rain now. We deserve better information. #SwimSafety

There is afaik, no equivalent testing currently happening in Grasmere. I'd love to help set some up here because it's important to me to know - as someone who swims with chronic illness and doesn't want to get more ill by swimming - whether it's safe to swim. #SwimSafety #DisabledSwimmers
