Alright, since I think this sword is finally finished I shall post it!
I put a lot into this one. Had to learn new tempering techniques because it was too big for my oven, made a pommel that was more than a simple metal brick and it's my biggest sword ever!

A replica of a 10th century sword with a blade length of 50cm and a total length of 68cm. The handle is hickory, the pommel peened on and the construction held together by pommel rivet and friction.
The same sword from the last image, now impaled into a stump for a better showing.
And with that, I've finished my first ever commissioned sword! The blade was a blast, the guard was the culmination of much practice, the handle wood made me crave violence and the pommel taught me patience.
All culminating in a complete celtic broadsword.
