True A.I. is still a long way off, and lies in a different direction. Statistical algorithms can never appreciate the raw majesty of nature. Fruit fly or albatross, it's simply beyond even the biggest space-based data centers. No 'grokking' is possible.

A machine that can estimate and emphatically display pi was my first glimpse of an artificial intelligence. BTW, GOTO is considered an abomination, but honestly, it's a powerful example of #syntonicity, which is another glimpse of AI.

Think about all the goodness delivered/derived from face to face interaction. The voices, subtle expressions, side-trips, serendipity, and plain old human experience and cognition. We need more of that. The Imitation Game isn't it. Maybe more pubs?
