Finished out my old notebook, and found this brainstorming for #SyphonBound ! If you were wondering how I settled on bees for the Grist's obsession (or why they are called the Grist; it's an old name for a beehive), this is how I got there!

Starting work on the #SyphonBound novella set between books 1 & 2. This is Lacune Fortress, where the tourney takes place. Much of Book 2 will take place here as well, so I wanted a detailed map right from the start. I based it on Dunnottar Castle in Scotland.

PP is admiring #SyphonBound is larval form!

(Don't tell them that Syphon Bound will be bigger than them when they grow up.)
