Daniela García was shot on the night of 13 Sep 2024, but her body was not identified until recently. As a result her name does not appear on #TDoR2024 memorial lists released earlier this month.

Yesterday, about 100 gathered for #TransDayofRemembrance @torontomet.bsky.social. Organized by Positive Space Faculty & Staff Network and Trans Collective, there were guest presenters from The ArQuives, and names submitted by community members were read before a moment of silence.
