In fact some of the first mass quantities of dried vegetables prepared using forced hot air drying - and hydraulic pressing for more compact storage were produced for the civil war.  And boy were they nasty.  All the same - they were still better than what happed to you if you didn't eat any vegetables at all. (And no - at this point there were no vitmin or fiber supplaments - you had to get it from the source)

DESTROY THE ILLUSION OF "MEH" I bury my hands in lunar skin as I hasten to avoid the wreckage of guts and desperate decisions. I'm looking at a world I can no longer identify through the shattered glass that litters a sidewalk not far from where I live. The disdain bubbles as I ask a million questions in a slurred speech to a child I abandoned at a funeral I was not invited to. I've been branding insults and terrible news onto my flesh since I learned how to make fire from the depths of rivers. I partake in whatever apocalypse the universe has cooked today but I know I'll survive with the taste of sulfur on my apathetic bones.

Not in a fun headspace today...

had good looks but as a cook

every dish he made he wrecked
