Included in the pile of #TMNTxMTG cards gifted to the new player was a copy of the bonus sheet All Will Be One. Gorgeous. My only bonus sheet pull was an Underworld Breach. I was also gifted someone else's kit which contained a Super Shredder.

One small & final #TMNTxMTG pre-release thought. The dice found in the pre-release kits? Amazing. Hats off to the person(s) who thought that through. The green is such a nice and vibrant green. I was surprised at how how many people didn't notice that the number colour matched the turtle colours.

Both #TMNTxMTG events I went to on the weekend had 36 attendees (not sold out) and the vibes were excellent. Yes, some people were low on TMNT as a setting. Yes, some people had concerns about the small set size. But I genuinely think those same people had a good time made the most of it.

My first impressions of #TMNTxMTG are mid(dling) to good. Like Lorwyn, I think you need a glut of two and three drops make it through the midgame and that it will prove to be a grindy format.

I played two #TMNTxMTG pre-release events and flubbed round one both times because I built the wrong deck. On Friday I was on Temur artifacts with Chrome Dome and Krang with a decent ramp package. Krang was a trap, ended game one on 8 land, Krang in hand, and my opponent at 9 w/ no fliers.

It happened to me! Lmao I actually rather have gotten a TMNT promo during Lorwyn Eclipsed because it would of been worth more at the time 🥲

Numbers for #TMNTxMTG looking kind of crazy.
Apparently the first store I went to on Friday peaked at 34 Attendees on Sat (I went to a different store on Sat and those numbers were closer to what I and probably everyone else expected), but we got promos and stuff!

Did the TMNT Prerelease last night and had a pretty funny time! Had the ability to make two full, functioning, gold decks with my pool so I got to play around with Artifacts and Ninjas. I came out of the event even looking forward to drafting the set a few times!

A friend convinced me to go to TMNT prerelease, which was both of our first prereleases (we've been playing MTG for years btw). I definitely had fun but overall the set could be better. I played simic mutagen for my prerelease deck and went 1-1-1 but all games were really close. #TMNTxMTG
