For #TROPsgiving I am grateful for the incredible second season we got this year which had some of my favorite moments with my favorite characters—specifically Elendil, Arondir, Elrond, Galadriel, and Isildur! They also did a fantastic job with making Adar a compelling sympathetic villain. So good.

I'm thankful that I have another piece of the legendarium to love, brought to life by a group of wonderful actors who are helping Tolkien's legacy to thrive for another generation. And I have friends who understand and love it as much as I do to share it with.

12 years ago (half of my life!) on Thanksgiving I watched Lord of the Rings for the first time. This year I’m so thankful we got more Tolkien content + esp the two Charlies this season. Ik everyone on production worked so hard and loves Tolkien + the show 🩵

Lots to be grateful for, mainly surrounding how wonderful this community is.
But a major thing I'm grateful for is the simple fact that instead of an LOTR remake, we're actually getting an attempt at adapting the second age. Which in itself merits recognition and appreciation.

In this week of a deeply problematic US holiday (even Canada had theirs weeks ago), I am nonetheless thankful for "This Wandering Day." Its plot importance in S2 felt like LOTR's appendices: very cool, very helpful, but at the same time not the aspect I fell in love with. #tropsgiving

One of the wonderful things I’ve noticed happen as a result of #TROP, is seeing especially young women get inspired to read The Silmarillion, Unfinished Tales, etc; and particularly those for whom English is not their first language.
