AAEON has launched two new credit card-sized computers with Intel Twin Lake processors. The **UP TWL** is a model aimed at developers and hobbyists that could easily be mistaken for a Raspberry Pi, while the **UP TWLS** is a version designed for IoT solutions. Both are available with support for Intel N150 or N250 quad-core processors or an octa-core Intel Core 3 N355 chip, and both support up to 8GB of LPDDR5 memory and operating systems including Windows, Ubuntu, and Yocto Linux. Both boards feature Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI 1.4b, and three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports. But there are a few key differences between the boards. The UP TWL has a Raspberry Pi-compatible 40-pin GPIO header, while the UP TWLS has set of wafer connectors for GPIO, RS-232/422/485, I2C, and PWM connections. And while the UP TWL has a standard barrel-style power jack, support for up to 64GB of eMMC onboard storage, and a processor on the bottom of the board, the UP TWL supports up to 128GB of storage, a more DIY-style power input, and the processor on the top of the board, leaving room for AAEON to add an M.2 2230 E-Key slot on the bottom that can be used for a wireless card.
