My other top tip is ASK and OFFER. I ask folks if they need to update their voter registration and offer to do it now. Strangers. Barristas. Store clerks when checking out at stores. Other folks waiting in line. Servers at restaurants. Folks on the elevator. #TXVDVR #EverydayActivist

Also if you are a #TXVDVR newbie, it’s good to work with an experienced person at first to pick up tips on how to talk to folks about voting.

This delay is why I prefer an in-person class where I walk out with certificate in hand & can immediately register folks to vote. Yes I can still hand out mail-in forms to folks but really is not as effective. 😖 @harris democrats #TXVDVR

Did my 1-hour training on Zoom today to recertify as a Volunteer Deputy Voter Registrar (VDVR) in Harris County along with about 30 others . It will take 5 to 10 days before we get our certificates in the mail & we can’t register folks til we receive the certificate. #TXVDVR
