This is my 9th year of trying to figure out photography and I just couldn't be happier. Photography, to me, is therapy and laughter, that moment when you both spontaneously stick your tongues out at each other because you're simply "at play" like children. And then the moment when everything comes together and the light catches just right. More than anything, I want the images I share with people to make them want to be on that trip with us, to invite them to share a little secret story. I don't necessarily want the best pose or the more surety. I think that the moments where our balance is a little off or we've just done the thing and the joy fills us....those are the moments that make the best pictures. Beatrice is wonderful with that and I'm so very grateful to her for diving into weird places and unstable footing and definitely-very-cold water to make the shot work! Right here is where I want to be all the time. Right HERE.

I'm tuckered and maybe a little sunburned. A long day in a long week but I'm SO very glad that @beatricemorgana.bsky.social and I were able to connect on her swing west! #viola #voila #tadah
