I've tried Kieran with Lae'zel, Shadowheart, Minthara, and Karlach and no one really fit.
Shadowheart and Lae'zel came the closest. Karlach's end killed me, and Minthara, while fun, didn't fit.

This is tough for Lu, they're prone to solve tough issues with violence, but being around the party and learning otherwise help curb some of their violence. But Lu, still struggles knowing when to use it and when not to. It's natural for them.
