It was only after he fell off the nautiloid and scowled at the camera that I noticed I had accidentally made my own Geralt of Rivia.

As for why I picked the date: I wanted them to have a strong connection to Lathander (even before I came up with the prophecy) and Ches 1st is Rhyestertide.
