In Classic Sonic IDW comics Fang The Hunter mini series Issue #3, Tails Prower The Fox invents a machine that will help him and Sonic The Hedgehog track down a new mystery ship. When Sonic asks how it works and Tails goes into great detail about it until he notices that Sonic doesn't understand what he's saying. So he simplies it to where Sonic can understand. Sonic is eager to leave, but then gets all dramatic when Tails says that he needs to install it in their airplane called The Tornado.

In TailsTube episode 9, while telling scary stories, Tails Prower The Fox asks Knuckles The Echidna to tell his scary story. Knuckles then recites Hemingway's Six-Word Story and just explains the punchline with no twist. Shadow The Hedgehog bluntly calls Knuckles story terrible. Rouge The Bat calls Shadow out and tells him to be nice. Even the Baby Ghost on the TailsTube monitor is offended by Shadow's criticism.

In Sonic IDW Free Comic Book Day 2022 special, Sonic The Hedgehog and Tails Prower arrive on Angel Island after Knuckles The Echidna reluctantly invited them there. Sonic and Knuckles nearly get into a fight after Knuckles brings up the time Sonic brought the Metal Virus to his Island, but Tails stops them from fighting. Later, the trio began exploring the island, and after the adventure is over, Tails asks Knuckles if he would like to return to Restoration HQ. Knuckles declines the Fox's offer and thanks Sonic and Tails for their help.
