On this #NationalSiblingsDay, I want to acknowledge my sister, Gina.
Gina had autism, and she is one reason why I believe strongly in portraying neuroatypical characters in my books. She partly inspired Natalie, a character with autism in my #TalesFromAlcatraz series. ❤️ #BookSky

April is #AutismAcceptanceMonth.
Did you know my #TalesFromAlcatraz character, Natalie, was partly inspired by my sister?
Gina had autism and is one reason why I strongly believe in the importance of portraying neuroatypical characters in my books. Here is a picture of Gina with my brother Grey.
Happy Valentine's Day! 💝 If you're indulging in a treat today, you may enjoy trying Willy One Arm's amazing brownies.
Remember: Nobody can make brownies better than Willy One Arm. Nobody.

Today is Al Capone's birthday, and I'm thinking about my #TalesFromAlcatraz series.
Did you know that the first book's title, AL CAPONE DOES MY SHIRTS, has historic resonance? Capone’s first job in the penitentiary was working in the laundry facility! 👕
I loved researching the #TalesFromAlcatraz books. Here's a fun fact:
After prohibition was repealed, Al Capone lobbied to get expiration dates placed on milk cartons. He had a whole fleet of trucks and needed a Unique Selling Proposition for his new product! 🥛🗝️
#OnThisDay in 1934, the federal penitentiary on @alcatrazisland.bsky.social opened.
Today, I am thinking about the Flanagans from my #TalesFromAlcatraz series and all of their real-life counterparts. You can read some of my interviews here: buff.ly/5wV2xWT

It's Lasagna Awareness Month. 🍅
I'm celebrating by sharing Bea Trixle's signature recipe, from my #TalesFromAlcatraz series!
It should feed 6-8 adults. Unless one of them is Moose — that kid has a hollow leg. 😂 buff.ly/SEqR5mm @penguinkids.bsky.social #mglit
