A trip up to #Tamsui and across the river to #Bali gave us beautiful #sunset vistas, scenes of crowded streets, grave markers and the #nightmarket included #stinkytofu.
Over 20,000 steps, 4 trains, 2 ferries and 2 busses got us there and back. #publictransportation ( #MRT ) in #Taiwan is amazing.

For a coastal town on a (sub)tropical island, Danshui is remarkably unremarkable. It is however all the beach you get in densely populated Taipei, so it's often packed with people enjoying snacks, the view of majestic Guanyin, and pretty decent sunsets.
