Ok one of the most wild things about #tasvotes25 is that so far, no ALP candidate has attracted a full quota in their own right #politas (closest is Janie Finlay and this presumably may change with pre-polls counted?)
"ABC chief election analyst Casey Briggs says this is the worst Labor party vote in Tasmania, ever." #politas #tasvotes25
Casey's call of the Tasmanian election is not exactly a call.It just means the Liberals will have the most seats, which was absolutely expected. It doesn't actually mean winning government. It's still probably going to be a hung Parliament. #TASvotes25
So while I think it's great Tasmania still has a tally room, I would much prefer if the ABC broadcast didn't have idiots in the background. #TASvotes25
Why is Tasmania the last tally room? This seems sad. #TASvotes25
Back on the couch. #TASvotes25

Source: https://tas.liberal.org.au/news/2025/07/16/single-issue-independents-are-greens-worse The left margin has a heading, "Contributors". Under the heading is a photo of a bearded man with a dark blue suit and red tie, which nowadays appears to be the uniform of fans of Donald Trump. Next to the photo is says: Felix Ellis Minister for Police, Fire and Emergency Management, Minister for Housing, Planning and Consumer Affairs, Minister for Skills and Training, Member for Braddon The main part of the Press Release says: The key so-called independents who could hold the balance of power after Saturday's election are destructive left-wing radicals. They want to end agriculture, aquaculture, forestry and manufacturing. They've said it themselves. They will shut down the traditional industries that have built Tasmania's prosperity. They will destroy jobs and hurt Tasmanian families. They will force up taxes. Tasmanians need to think twice about voting for a so-called independent. They are even more dangerous than the Greens.
Tasmanian state election day is here!
Approximately 25% of voters have opted to vote early, which sets a new record, and aligns with the pattern in in other recent state and federal elections. I believe it's a clear sign of a healthy Democracy for people to have [โฆ]

It's not the same. It's not Antony Green. But this is the first election of Casey Briggs. And I wish him luck. #TASvotes25
