Lions trade up, add guard Tate Ratledge from Georgia Allen Park โ€” The Detroit Lions have added a piece to their offensive line. After trading with the Denver Broncos to move up three spots โ€” from No. 60 overall to No. 57 โ€” the Lions on Friday selected offensive guard Tate Ratledge out of Georgia in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Ratledge (6-foot-6ยฝ, 208 pounds) figures to push for a starting role, competing with veteran Graham Glasgow and 2024 sixth-round pick Christian Mahogany. The Lions also included pick No. 130 in the deal, and they got pick pick No. 230. Ratledge had spent his previous five season at Georgia, where all 37 of his career starts have come at right guard. He performed well at the combine, posting a 40-yard dash time of 4.97 seconds (fourth-best among interior offensive linemen at the event). He also had a vertical jump of 32 inches (10th), a broad jump of 9 feet, 5 inches (third) and he completed the 3-cone drill in 7.38 seconds (first). This is a developing story that will be updated. rsilva@detroitnews.com @rich_silva18 This article originally appeared on The Detroit News: Lions trade up, add guard Tate Ratledge from Georgia
