JPJ detects three major violations by Thai van, collects RM5.59 million in fines
KOTA BHARU: Lack of an International Circulation Permit (ICP), driving without a Competent Driving Licence (CDL) and failure to display the ICP as required have been identified as the three main offences frequently committed by Thai van drivers operating in this country. Road Transport Department (JPJ) Senior Director of Enforcement Datuk Muhammad Kifli Ma Hassan said the offence was detected through the implementation of Ops Tunggak Kenderaan Thailand which has been carried out continuously since 2023, especially in border states.
