It documents my journey to the sacred Maruthamalai Murugan Temple during the peak of the grand Thaipusam festival in February 2026. If you have ever wondered what it’s like to be part of a massive spiritual gathering in Tamil Nadu, this vlog will take you right into the heart of the action. The energy, the devotion, and yes, the massive Temple Rush, were unlike anything I have experienced in a long time! 🌊 #The Call of the Hill God 🏔️ I started my journey from Coimbatore city early in the morning, hoping to beat the crowd. But as any true devotee knows, during Thaipusam, the crowd is part of the experience! As I approached the foothills of Maruthamalai, the air was already vibrating with the loud, rhythmic chants of "Vetrivel Muruganukku... Arohara!" 🗣️ The entire road leading to the temple was a sea of yellow and saffron. Thousands of devotees, young and old, were making their way up. Some were walking barefoot, carrying the sacred Palkudam (milk pots) on their heads, while others were piercing their skin and carrying the heavy, ornate Kavadi as an offering to Lord Murugan. Seeing their intense #Bhakti and endurance was truly humbling. 🙇‍♂️
