It documents my journey to the sacred Maruthamalai Murugan Temple during the peak of the grand Thaipusam festival in February 2026. If you have ever wondered what itβs like to be part of a massive spiritual gathering in Tamil Nadu, this vlog will take you right into the heart of the action. The energy, the devotion, and yes, the massive Temple Rush, were unlike anything I have experienced in a long time! π #The Call of the Hill God ποΈ I started my journey from Coimbatore city early in the morning, hoping to beat the crowd. But as any true devotee knows, during Thaipusam, the crowd is part of the experience! As I approached the foothills of Maruthamalai, the air was already vibrating with the loud, rhythmic chants of "Vetrivel Muruganukku... Arohara!" π£οΈ The entire road leading to the temple was a sea of yellow and saffron. Thousands of devotees, young and old, were making their way up. Some were walking barefoot, carrying the sacred Palkudam (milk pots) on their heads, while others were piercing their skin and carrying the heavy, ornate Kavadi as an offering to Lord Murugan. Seeing their intense #Bhakti and endurance was truly humbling. πββοΈ

Sometimes, the most profound blessings don't happen inside the sanctum, but in the quiet, unexpected corners of nature. πΏ This morning was supposed to be a regular visit to the foothills of the famous Maruthamalai Murugan Temple in Coimbatore city. While I didn't go up for a formal temple #Darshan this time, what happened instead felt like an even more direct and powerful sign from the divine. My journey began in the peaceful, early hours of this December 2025 morning. The air around Maruthamalai is always charged with a special energy. Instead of climbing the steps, I felt drawn to roam around the serene forest area near the foothills. The silence of the woods was incredibly healing, a perfect escape from the noise of daily life. As I was walking, lost in thought about some trying and hard times I've been facing recently, something caught my eye on the forest floor. There, gleaming against the earth, were beautiful peacock feathers. π¦ My heart completely skipped a beat. For any devotee of Lord Murugan (or Subrahmanyaswamy as He is also known), finding a feather from His divine vehicle, the peacock, is no ordinary event. It is seen as a direct message of presence, protection, and reassurance. In that moment, overwhelmed with emotion, I felt incredibly #Blessed. It was a clear sign that Lord Murugaa was with me, watching over me even in the midst of challenges. It was a reminder that I am never walking alone. π£π I picked up the feathers with the utmost reverence. Holding them gave me an immense sense of peace and strength, a feeling that no obstacle is too big when you have His grace. This simple find turned an ordinary morning walk into a profound pilgrimage of the heart. It was a true testament to the power of faith and #Devotion in Hinduism.
