Alongside Vansell, Romana has no choice but to interrogate the Doctor. The Doctor invokes the Archetryx Convention (from #TheApocalypseElement) and demands a fair trial. It is these small details that have made the Eighth Doctor's stories like a series and connected.
#TheTimeoftheDaleks is an audio that, although not fully needing to have heard previous audios/stories, it certainly adds to the story. Hints and references are made from #TheEviloftheDaleks, #SeasonsofFear, #TheApocalypseElement, #InvadersofMars and #TheGenocideMachine.
#DoctorWho's #TheApocalypseElement is definitely worth listening to, but I feel parts of it would've worked better for TV rather than audio.

We also had the return of a former companion - #LallaWard as Romana. As similarities go though, this is about it. The rest of #TheApocalypseElement is its own thing - which I'm glad about.
This was definitely an improvement on Stephen Cole's previous story for #BigFinish.
#DoctorWho's #TheApocalypseElement, if part of a series, would be a finale. It also felt slightly similar to #TheStolenEarth. A planet goes missing from time and space. The Daleks are using it to mine the titled element, which when detonated, would destroy parts of the galaxy.
