One of #TheFirecracker 's old Fundy elementary school classmates is getting married this summer.
Firecracker is pursuing their GED, working at a gas station, & living w/ their boyfriend.
I'd rather my kid be in THAT situation than the classmate's situation ANY DAY. 💔 #ExFundy
...not 2 mos later, when #TheFirecracker visited her long-distance boyfriend, his parents texted me, saying she was having a mental breakdown. "Should we take her to the hospital?"
What ACTUALLY happened is the boy exploded in her face, threatened her, & she locked herself in the bathroom.
2 of our 4 kids were born when we were on Medicaid.
Medicaid paid for #TheFirecracker 's 1st eating disorder treatment.
Racism doesn't change the fact that healthcare costs are out of control.
Welp, #TheFirecracker has an official ID, & she knows she can always come home, so, Mission Accomplished.
I'm driving through the mountains, & can't wait to be home.
I'm going to see #TheFirecracker, & it turns out it's 20° colder where she is than where I am. Yay! 🙄
