#TheFirstNightWithTheDuke this is one of my favorite dramas. Cheesy and adorable. I loved this more theme second watch. The male lead was domineering because he did not know love until FL brought it to him. We watch him learn how to adapt and I am all here for all of him. My fav scene was when 1/2

Un début sympa, drôle et léger qui m’a plu, mais la deuxième moitié du drama m’a fait décrocher. On retombe dans tous les clichés des kdramas historiques (complots politiques, rivalités, drames, etc). Un drama qui s’oubliera vite, dommage ça partait bien.

This was such a goofy, unserious drama made me laugh 😂. Taec yeon and Seo hyun did a fabulous job bringing this story to life. I usually take my time with kdramas as I hate binge watching but I finished this drama in a few days. Good job to all the crews and actors

The second half of #thefirstnightwiththeduke, with its palace intrigue and betrayal, felt less compelling. I would have preferred the show to have committed to its theme of creativity and the relationship between author, audience and character. Overall, however, this was a fun watch 3/3 #kdrama
I always appreciate a strong FL and an unwavering ML. Ok Taec Yeon and Seo Ju Hyeon delivered with fabulous chemistry. The show came alive whenever the Duke appeared thanks to Ok Taec Yeon’s charismatic screen presence. He understood the assignment 👀 2/3 #thefirstnightwiththeduke #kdrama
The first half of The First Night With The Duke (Viki) was a weekly gift of fun and swoony, swoony romance. Like with Extraordinary You, the romance novel setting gave the drama the ability to lean into the tropes we love and also subvert them 1/3 #thefirstnightwiththeduke #kdrama
