4-5 star book, highly informative. I am unconvinced that prisons must be abolished, it just won't work. But, I am more aware of the importance of "govt. forgiveness," and urgent reforms, although the book was indeed written in 2010.

Plea deals for felony crimes are absolutely catastrophic for innocent people and must not be done, as hard as it may be.
The details are horrifying about just how many civil rights they lose and how easy it is to become homeless and lose children/family from there.
