Laughing whitely
The expression "laughing whitely"
(probably) exists only in her mother tongue. Laughter that is faint, cheerless, its cleanness easily shattered. And the face that forms it.
Poetic, meditative, sorrowful in parts yet utterly charming. This was my first foray into the author’s work, but it will not be the last.

Sometimes magic happens & what's yours happily finds you. Last week I read 2 of my fav books of 2024. They both broke/hugged/inspired me. They took me to places I'd never been to before. Written many years apart,they musically talk to each other.
