A photo of various pieces of the stones named above. There is a pink and yellowish piece of novakulite from Arkansas on the left, a few lake Superior agates with intact skin that you can't really see into, a piece of smoky quartz, a couple pieces of chert, and some pieces of Jasper. Around two dozen stones and all with a penny for scale, they are all larger than a penny, but a couple of them, not by much.
My fingers holding up a really beautiful piece of Jasper that shows stripes of yellow, green, orange, blue, black, white in some places, and red. It almost looks like the Aurora over a town at night
For #ThingThursday, I've been pulling together rocks from my collection that I want to tumble or cut/face grind before tumbling. These are all quartz, quartzite, agate, novaculite, or jasper, including my favorite piece of jasper I've found, so far.
