Think2030 Denmark | Session 4 - How can energy reforms improve European competitiveness? - Think2030 High energy prices challenge European businesses that cannot compete with American and Chinese rivals. The main driver is the EU’s unsustainably high import of expensive fossil fuel from geopolitical adversaries caused by stagnating European electrification.

⚡ To reduce energy costs and imports and to reach its 90% target for 2040, the EU needs to double electrification rates and grid investments, while decarbonising its electricity supply and integrating its market.
