The Water Violets (Hottonia palustris) were at peak loveliness yesterday in the pingos at @NorfolkWT #ThompsonCommon.

Also Bog Pondweed (Potamogeton polygonifolius) & Pond Water Crowfoot (Ranunculus peltatus).

For #WorldEnvironmentDay, my new favourite frog - the Pool Frog, restored by @ARC_Bytes to the pingos at @NorfolkWT Thompson Common. See one enjoying the Water Violet spectacle? Thanks Jim Foster & John Baker for introducing us. #MyWalk #GenerationRestoration #ThompsonCommon 1/5

Thompson Common looking lovely, including Meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria), Common Hempnettle (Galeopsis tetrahit) and Meadow buttercup (Ranunculus acris), but pingoland is generally quite dry.
