The howling of the wind deafens any sense of hearing. The fog thickens as the blizzard of snow blinds any sense of sight. Barely anything to be seen, barely anything to be heard. The only sounds that could be known are the footsteps that trekked through the snow, accompanied by the cracking of branches that had fell previously. It was cold... so cold... the fog kept thickening, and the snow kept on pouring. Only the sounds of snow and branches breaking could be heard... ... ... ...until there was another sound that resonated. It was faint. Could it be a trick of the mind? ... No, thats not it. The sound grew closer, and louder. It almost sounded like... a voice? ... I tried to call out to whoever may be within the snow, hoping to get any kind of response... ... and... to my horror... ...it answered back.
