A last phase of the #ChadianLibyanWars over the #AouzouStrip in northern #Chad, the #ToyotaWar began #ThisDayInHistory in 1987. #Libya was soundly beaten & expelled, with 7500 dead to Chad's 1000. The name comes from use of Toyota trucks as #technicals (improvised gun platforms).
