Well in celebration of coming 14th overall and 5th in the men's #TrailEscape #Marathon #Hike (which really wasnt expected or the goal) it can only mean one thing!!! ...... #Burger time! #Hiking

Well that course was designed by a sadist! But.... thats another #UltraHike in the bag! Severe right foot issues from mile 3, but 27.93m completed in 7h 31m in aid of #MindCharity via organisers #TrailEscape. Those hills were killers! Now time for dinner & some proper rest! #Hike

UPDATE: I complained yesterday about the route and signage of the Edinburg #trailescape. They've now put the following sort of apology up: "If you took part in the 25km at Edinburgh 2025, your distance may be longer... 1/

As I said, I had a great time: a beautiful day for a tough run in the hills, I'm grateful to #trailescape for designing a good and challenging course. But I will think twice about another event with them.

I ran the "25k" #trailescape in Edinburgh today, and while I had a great time myself, I cannot recommend this event to other folk on #runsky .

Well despite loads of overgrown tracks, lace issues & being chased by a bull!, well happy with todays 22 mile #hike and in just over 6 hours! Perfect training for the next self funded challenge in September, doing the #TrailEscape #Marathon hike from Bristol to bath in aid of #Mind #Charity.
