Here is a little side project I recently put together to shed some light on the BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) network in Campinas, Brazil. Like many other cities across South America, Campinas eventually caught on to the utterly viral BRT frenzy! Other modes of transportation (such as trolleybuses and light rail) had been proposed earlier to ease road congestion and improve mobility across a metropolitan area home to more than 3.5 million inhabitants, but the idea of implementing a BRT system ultimately won out in 2011. However, it took a little over a decade before the BRT network began to be gradually brought into service, starting with the launch of BRT20 on Corredor Campo Grande in 2022. Corredor Ouro Verde followed in 2023 with the opening of BRT10.  Corredor Perimetral opened last in 2024, completing the originally planned network. As shown on the map, the system consists of seven lines, distributed across three major corridors totaling almost 37km: Campo Grande, Ouro Verde and Perimetral. When heading towards the city center, some lines extend beyond their dedicated eastern terminal (Mercado or Central) to run along what is locally known as Corredor Central - a ring-like collection of five one-way avenues looping through the city center, where regular traffic and urban transit are physically segregated.  After completing their loop - serving both Terminal Mercado and Terminal Central along the way - these lines rejoin their respective corridors to continue their outbound journey. Lines operating on the Ouro Verde and Perimetral corridors stop at all stations up to one of three main terminals - BRT12 to Santa Lúcia, BRT10 to Ouro Verde and BRT11 to Vila Nova. Lines running along Corredor Campo Grande also serve either of two major terminals: Satélite Íris and Campo Grande. Additionally, they are further divided into all-stops ("parador") for BRT20 and BRT25 or semi-express ("semi-espresso") services for BRT21 and BRT26.

Vermont Long Distance Transportation Map. It shows routes for Amtrak, Greyhound, and Vermont Translines going along the length of the state and into neighboring states, showing all of their stops. Local services are shown, too, in reduced detail. There's Green Mountain Transit, Tri-Valley Transit, The MOOver, and more. Together, all the routes form a loose mesh over the whole state, covering cities and suburbs, as well as many small towns and ski areas. Published January 2026. I made a map of all the public transit in Vermont! It's the map I always wish I had when I plan travel there. My goal is that someone sees this map, learns about a bus near them, and then takes the bus because of it.

Following suit to my previously posted map of Glasgow, here is my lastest design: a geographic representation of rail-based transportation in the city of Edinburgh, Scotland This map shows the Edinburgh Tram route and stations as well as ScotRail lines and stations located in the area Bus connections and Park and Ride facilities also appear when available As with Glasgow's map, a handful of selected points of interests were added for additional context This map is labeled in both English and Scottish Gaelic (Gàidhlig) - for now! I'd love to be able to present a version featuring Scots so I'm currently looking out for help from speakers of the language In the meantime, know that some of the Scottish Gaelic names here on the map have been "reconstructed" as no officially sanctioned name for said places is approved yet It is true only for some of the points of interests while all rail and subway stations names in both English and Gàidhlig are those officially approved by their respective controlling bodies and institutions promoting the Gàidhlig language in Scotland Enjoy the ride!

#transitmap connoisseurs! Here's an oddity: appears as if Liverpool Street is a stop on the Northern Line (which it isn't). Wonder if 'white-line connector' perhaps with black lines greyed-out a bit may help (between Northern & Liz Line station markers)? Spotted by motortownman on skyscraper city.

@wmata.com meets Hagstrom. Inspired by Maxwell Roberts’ rework of NYC’s 1951 map, I gave DC’s Metro the same schematic, symmetrical treatment—mid-century feel, modern service.

Proposed new transit diagram for the Perth metropolitan area. It shows 9 train lines (Serpentine, Midland, Fremantle, Yanchep, Mandurah, Airport, Circle, Wanneroo, Ellenbrook), and 7 tram lines (Scarborough, Inner South, South, Central, North, Loop, Sunset Coast). Also displays a number of stations as ferry stops along the Swan and Canning Rivers.

Here's my shot at creating a pipe-dream transit map for Perth, featuring additional train lines and a network of trams. I tried to keep it somewhat realistic :)
