The photograph shows a street art/mini mural that I took a picture of a few weeks ago in a small town called Carlow which is not far from where I live here in Ireland. As we look at the picture from the bottom upwards, we can see that this was taken on a side street in the urban location. At the bottom of the frame we have the cold grey cobble stones of the sidewalk/pavement. Moving upwards we have a plain grey pebble dashed wall which is a side of a building. On that wall, we have our art peace. The art piece itself is made up of 10 small rectangular canvases made out of sheet metal which has then had the artwork painted onto them and then it’s been sealed and bolted onto the wall. Those metal canvases are arranged in a 2 x 5 grid formation which is about 8ft in total length and maybe 4ft in total height. The metal canvases themselves are painted in various different eclectic art styles, mostly in what I would call an overall bohemian vibe and the colours are vivid and vibrant to the eye. Above that we have a street location sign which is grey and grimy and then the wall continues up until the top of the frame. At the top right of the picture you can notice a crease or bend in the wall which is showing a small piece of sunlight which we can see is reflecting off this street art giving it an almost subtle highlighted quality. The whole picture is in colour and it’s finished off with a thin white board frame.
