So spät wie bei #Turandot bin ich lange nicht bei einer Produktion des @StaatstheaterN aufgeschlagen. Aber die Nachfrage ist so groß dass Wunschplätze nicht wie sonst kurzfristig zu bekommen waren. Heute dann also.

Wie viele #Turandot -Fassungen gibt's überhaupt, die geläufig sind?
Bei der UA dirigierte Toscanini nur bis zum 2. Akt (dem Tod Lius). Darauf folgte die Fassung von Franco Alfano (was zB #StaatsoperHamburg vorführt). Mir gefällt die Alfano-Fassung besser, paßt zu der Dramatik der Handlung. (3

#LieneKinča hat zwar die nötige Durchschlagskraft für die Titelrolle, mir hat jedoch von Ausdrucksvielfalt her EM #KiandraHowarth besser gefallen. Der Einspringer #MaxJota übertraf die Erwartung, vom Volumen und der Bühnenpräsenz her war für mich EM #ShavlegArmasi DER Sänger des Abends. #Turandot (2

Diese Frage beantwortet die Turandot-Inszenierung im Staatstheater Nürnberg. Die Inszenierung ist zugegeben etwas ungewöhnlich und verlagert die Zeit ins 19. Jahrhundert. China kennen in diesen Tagen die wenigsten durch eigene Reisen. Im Palast der Turandot weisen Papierlampen und Tapeten auf das ferne China hin. Dieses China ist jedoch eher ein beiläufiges Accessoire als das Hauptthema.

Tonight was spent at the Royal Opera House, watching a performance of #Turandot.
I've just got home, feeling slightly underwhelmed.
The building is beautiful, saw dresses more expensive than my house, but .... I didn't feel it.
Was just a bit meh
