Annual Christmas Entertainment. An annual entertainment or pantomime is given to the employees and relatives at the Mansion House, which is engaged for the purpose, for two weeks after Christmas.
A variety cast is provided, and the cist, which amounts to over £500, is paid for by the company.
This is much enjoyed and looked forward to.
In connection with this entertainment, the Workmens' Room Committee hold a class for the children of employees, paying for a teacher to instruct them in dancing. There is also a class for Irish Dancing, for which the Company provides accommodation.
