I think our Glasgow students would have better prospects postgraduation if they could do more interesting projects, and could be supervised more closely. Regardless of if this leads to a paper, it is good experience. Staff:student ratio precludes this. Hence #UCURising /8

There are currently strikes across UK universities #UCURising Workload is a key factor. Currently, we have so many Masters students in need of projects I have to mass produce them. There's little prospect of a paper from these, even when the students are good /6
