Quick data point to help evaluate the #UKLE results compared to a General Election. Whenever the two were held on the same day, Labour (nearly) always did better in the GE vote.

Sky’s election expert Sir Michael Thrasher, while hugely respected, said the #UKLE results showed a hung parliament with Labour largest party. Utter bollocks based on looking back when the old landscape has been wiped out. (He’s also alone in saying that.) 5/5

Now that most of the #UKLE results are in we can start to see the takeaways. The main one is Uniform National Swing on which a lot of polling predictions is based is no longer valid. Huge swings to Labour in some parts of the country, not so much elsewhere. 1/2

The Green Party have now won 161 Council Seats ln the 2024 local elections. That’s an increase of 66 seats or 69.5% from 2021.
In total The Greens have over 810 Council Seats.
Reform barely have 1% of that total.
Despite what Richard Tice may say, The Greens are the real opposition to Labour.

The Green Party have won 159 council seats, an increase of 65 seats from 2021. That is a huge increase, especially when compared to Labour & The LibDems.

Green increase = 69.1%
Labour increase = 20.3%
LibDem increase = 25%
