A stunning view of the Hopkins Ultraviolet Telescope (HUT), Ultraviolet Imaging Telescope (UIT), and Wisconsin Ultraviolet Photo-Polarimeter Experiment (WUPPE) telescopes aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour during the Astro-2 mission. The telescopes are perched in the payload bay, high above the Earth's atmosphere, overlooking the Australian desert. The image showcases the instruments' role in exploring the universe's ultraviolet light, invisible to the human eye.
