Balinese sculpture in the middle of a round stage is holding wicks that are on fire. Smoke billows up into a blue sky. An audience gathers on the bleachers around the performance space. Everyone is wearing a purple or orange sash, many are wearing a sarong - in honour of the temple.

Me waiting for the Kecak dance performance to begin. Behind me is my driver, Darius. I am wearing a sarong over my head and shoulders - as a mark of respect for the temple. The setting sun is hot on our skin.

A Balinese statue of the Hindu god, Vishnu. Vishnu is riding Garuda, with his wings stretched out. Vishnu has a gold crown and chest-plate. The rest of the statue is made of green bronze. The sky behind the statue is bright blue with some white clouds.

While I was in #SouthKuta my driver, Darius, brought me to #UluwatuTemple for a #KecakFireDance.

The temple has a dance troop that performs the dance every day at sunset.

Sadly my mobile was low on power and died before the dance began. #FirstTimeInBali #GdayBali
