Undine’s Blessing – Tessa Hastjarjanto: The Write Reads BBNYA Blog Tour Marella spends her days caring for her ill mother and sells fish and the baskets she weaves while her father goes out to sea. Despite living by the sea, she has never been comfortable in the water and fears it. But when her mother's illness takes a turn for the worse and she needs to travel to the city to see a doctor, Marella's father takes her with him, and when their journey brings them to the hidden islands of Emberrain, she discovers a secret he has long been keeping from them. Not only is her father a frequent visitor to these islands, Emberrain is home to nymphs with elemental powers - and Marella herself has the ability to control water. As magical as the islands are, they are also dangerous and an overwhelmed Marella must learn to use her new powers and save the island by restoring the balance of their world.
