#OTD 1918, my grandfather, Thomas Hall was born in Cwmbran. He served throughout the SWW with a few units, Monmouthshire Regt, Independent Companies & No.1 Army Commando.
Sadly passed away '82, when I was only 12.
Always in my thoughts, never be forgotten.

#OTD in 1942, my grandfather, Pte Thomas Hall,from Cwmbran,South Wales, was part of Operation Torch,the North African Landings. He was with No.1 Army Commando,who landed near Algiers & subsequent actions. They were the 1st Commando unit to wear the coveted Green Beret into action.
