I'm still having daily nausea that my pcp has been unable to treat and the ultrasound didn't find anything so she put a referral for me to see a gastroenterologist in a MONTH ago but when I called to make an appointment, they said they "were very behind on scheduling referrals" so I should call back in a month to see if they'd even gotten to my referral yet, so I called today and... yep still totally backed up at least through the end of the year, and I can't even schedule anything until after they "review my referral" which is apparently taking forever to even get to that step 🙃 so I could be dying of cancer RIGHT NOW (I'm really hoping it's not 😫) and I won't even find out for several months longer, probably more. Isn't it funny how the repubs who oppose universal Medicare like pretty much every other developed nation has primarily cite an alleged difficulty in scheduling prompt medical care as a reason why, while here we are paying out the ass for medical insurance that typically finds a way to weasel out of paying claims yet it's STILL impossible to see a specialist even months after the problems started 🙃🙃🙃
