They were designed by Giles Gilbert Scott, grandson of George Gilbert Scott, the architect of our main building.

As the University celebrates its own 575th birthday in 2026, the 26th of January 2026 marks 100 years since UofG world changer and alumnus John Logie Baird gave the world’s first public demonstration of a working television at 22 Frith Street in Soho, London.
