The Portland, Oregon surf rock band, Satan’s Pilgrims, rocks out at Dante’s in downtown Portland. They’re all wearing red pants and black bowling shirts with two red racing stripes down the right side. They’re also wearing black capes and playing guitars. The drummer is out of view behind the guitarists.

The blue-tinted stage is set with two drum kits: one for the Valiants and the one behind is for Satan’s Pilgrims. I know, not a fan of the name, but some of the best surf rock around. Anyway, I love the “SP” crest on the red, glittery drum with the white and black racing stripe down the middle. The scene is a bit hazy because the fog machine is already on, though we are early and right up next to the stage.
