2. On August 1st 1918 Nurse Hilda joined the Voluntary Aid Detachment (VAD), 2nd Western General Hospital, aiding the care of wounded soldiers. She died while in service on 8th October 1918 of bronco-pneumonia, at the Alexandra Park Nursing Home, Stockton, Cheshire aged 23. #WW1 #VADnurses

2. Teresa M. Fannin was one of a group of Voluntary Aid Detachment [VAD] Nurses, who were accompanying military patients who were returning to England. She was attached to the Scottish Women's Hospital Unit.
