Men and women came together to talk, sing, recite and hear from our brilliant minister Alex Davies-Jones MP on putting an end to Violence Against Women and Girls; spearheaded by our own #Croydon Domestic Violence champion Cllr Tamar Barrett and hosted by the fabulous Rowenna Davis and Hamida Ali . An incredible Croydon Labour event . An evening with tears and laughter and most of of all HOPE , hearing of all the work being done by The Labour Party in government . The months of planning was more than worth it. Thanks to all those who came, those that helped and a massive thank you to Stuart Brady and our special guest Alex Davies-Jones and The Spread Eagle, Croydon for hosting us.

Home is the most dangerous place for women, says global femicide report Of the 85,000 women killed by men in 2023, 60% died at the hands of a partner or family member, new UN figures show

A report by UN Women reveals that the most dangerous place for a woman to be was in her own home. 60% of the 85,000 women intentionally killed by men in 2023 were murdered by someone close to them.
