NAVAIR Review Confirms V-22 Osprey Airworthiness and Calls for Safety Improvements
Aviation News – Naval Air Systems Command has reaffirmed the airworthiness of the V-22 Osprey following a comprehensive review, clearing the aircraft for continued operations across the U.S. Air Force, Marine Corps and Navy. Completed on December 12, 2025, the review was launched in September 2023 to examine the tiltrotor aircraft’s performance and safety record. The assessment evaluated fleet-wide readiness, operational controls and engineering standards, producing 32 recommendations that the Department of the Navy and service branches have already begun implementing.
