I really like this plaid and striped fabric quilt. It seems to me to be the perfect way to recycle old shirts. Pretty charming.

Standing on a stool and photographing a large white table from above, the table is vertical on the right portion of frame. The left side shows charlottes yellow sneakers and colorful dress hem. The quilt parts laying on large white table are the Thread Through quilt. This was made with colorful vintage unfinished fan blocks that we reprinted with the small polkadot. The fan blocks are arranged in an even wave shape. Each half of the wave shape is placed on a block of fabric made from men’s shirts in blue/grey shades and overprinted w various blue large polkadot pattern. There are two rows laying on table.

This is my most prized quilt! It was pieced by my grandmother and great-grandmother. I recognize fabrics used to make mine, my sisters', and my cousins' clothes when we were little. I had the top hand-quilted. Started probably in the 1950's.
