#NowPlaying The Postal Service - Give Up (Deluxe 2LP edition)
What an amazing album.
Even the b-sides are great.

When was the last time you listened to Grizzly Bear's 'Veckatimist'?
No matter what your answer is, it's been too long.

I only have one neighbour in my building, and they live upstairs. When they leave, their Bichon Frisé barks until they return.
Tonight, I will play records loud enough to not only drown it out, but hopefully humble that damn dog.
First up: Led Zeppelin 'II'

While cooking, I spun some records from the #VinylChurch:
Mogwai - Special Moves
The National - The Virginia EP
The National - High Violet
Black Country, New Road - Forever Howlong

Quasimoto's debut album, 'The Unseen', on a wooden easel atop a large speaker. The album cover features an old pink car with tail fins drives on a blank, featureless ground, underneath raised freeways, and a sign reminescent of a McDonalds sign with a large golden Q on it. Underneath the Q, it says "Quasimoto - The Unseen" A blank, featureless person in the back seat holding a boombox. A police car with its lights flashing follows the pink car.

An old, slightly faded but very intact 3LP boxset from pianist Keith Jarrett, simply entitled 'Concerts.' The box is grey with a thin black square around the artist's name and album title, written in red. The spine is pastel green.
Going to see how loudly I can play Keith Jarrett's 'Concerts' #vinyl boxset before my neighbour upstairs complains.
So far, both sides of LP1 (Bregenz, May 28, 1981) is intense but beautiful.

Canadian jazz band BADBADNOTGOOD's third album, 'III', on a wooden easel, atop a large speaker. Artwork is black and white, with a picture in the center, looking up at the band, while they are looking down into a hole.
The backside of a signed copy of BADBADNOTGOOD's 'III' - the artwork is mostly white with three narrow vertical pictures of the musicians. The band signed it for me after a show in Winnipeg at Union Sound Hall.
BADBADNOTGOOD's 'III' is dope.
Give it a listen.
I saw people crowdsurf to these guys in a small club. #based

Wow.
The whole album sounds good, but the title track is stunningly beautiful. I've moved the needle back to replay it for 20 minutes now.
I think I needed this cry.
Bravo, @symlmusic.bsky.social. Bravo.

The sleeve for SYML's new album, Nobody Lives Here, on a wooden easel, atop a large speaker.
A Technics SL1200-MKII with a bold yellow LP on it. The LP, SYML's new album called 'Nobody Lives Here' has a white centre label with some basic text including the record label and song titles.
Managed to get my hands on 'Nobody Lives Here' - the new SYML album this past weekend while at Something In The Water Brewing.
After only hearing him play a solo acoustic set at the Winnipeg Folk Festival, this album sounds great.

A sleeve for the super limited 2LP edition of Action Bronson and Party Supplies album, 'Blue Chips' on a wooden easel atop of a large Sony speaker. This album was signed by Bronsolino himself.
A Technics SL-1200 MKII with the first of four sides of the very limited marbled blue vinyl edition of 'Blue Chips' from Chopped Herring Records spinning on it.
After spinning that Non Phixion 12", I was feeling some hip hop.
Currently spinning in the #VinylChurch:
Action Bronson & Party Supplies - 'Blue Chips' 2LP
Stupid limited #vinyl from Chopped Herring. Signed by Mr. Wonderful, Action Bronson.
Turns out I had forgotten how heavy and absolutely rocking Tame Impala's 'Innerspeaker' is.
Fucking killer album.
